Ингредиенты

  • 1 c. uncooked mostaccioli pasta
  • 1/2 lb grnd sirloin
  • 2 x sweet Italian sausages, removed from casings
  • 2 Tbsp. each of minced onion and green pepper
  • 1 x clove garlic, chopped
  • 1 c. canned tomatoes, cut up
  • 3 ounce tomato paste
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1 tsp dry basil leaves
  • 1/2 Tbsp. chili pwdr
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper
  • 1/2 tsp salt and dry oregano dash sugar and black pepper
  • 1 x egg, slightly beaten
  • 8 ounce ricotta cheese
  • 1/4 c. Parmesan cheese

Инструкции

  1. Cook mostaccioli till al dente in boiling salted water. Drain and set aside.
  2. In skillet, combine meat, sausages, onion, green pepper and garlic. cook breaking up meat, till meat is browned. Drain off fat. To the meat, add in all other ingredients, except egg and cheeses. Bring meat sauce to a boil.
  3. Reduce heat. Cover and simmer 15 to 20 min, stirring occasionally.
  4. meanwhile, combine egg and cheeses.
  5. To assemble, stir cooked pasta into meat sauce. Place half in 1 qt buttered baking dish. Spread cheese mix proportionately over the top. cover with remaining pasta. Bake, covered, at 350 F. for 30 to 35 min or possibly till cooked through.
  6. Serves 4.
