- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
- Butter a small glass baking dish with 2 Tbsp. of the butter.
- Slice 1/4-inch off the bottoms of the apples (so they stand up straight) and core them.
- Combine the brown sugar, sugar, cinnamon, pecans, and lemon zest in a small bowl and fill the center of each apple with a quarter of the mix. Dot each apple with the remaining butter.
- Place the apples in the dish and bake for 30-35 min or possibly till soft.
- Serve with freshly whipped cream, if you like. 1997 Lifetime
