With the holidays in full swing, there will be lots of opportunities to entertain family and friends. What better way to celebrate the season than with a Bacon Pineapple Jalapeño Cheese Ball and a glass of Gallo® Pink Moscato wine?!
Sunday Supper is partnering with Gallo Family Vineyards and pairing seasonal wines for the holidays. I'm here to tell you about my new favorite wine...Gallo Family Vineyards Pink Moscato It's sweet and bubbly and just the way I like it. I know some prefer drier and less sweet wines, but for those of us on the "sweet white wine" team, Gallo Pink Moscato is a winner! I also have to give honorable mention to Gallo Family Vineyards Merlot, a red wine I love for my almost famous Holiday Sangria!
This Bacon Pineapple Jalapeño Cheese Ball pairs perfectly with Gallo® Pink Moscato. I'm not a huge wine connoisseur but I know what I like, and isn't that all that is important? This cheese ball pairs great because it's a little sweet, a little hot and has a cream cheese base which tastes great with sweet white wines. It makes a great appetizer for all your holiday celebrations!
Since this time of year is so busy, you'll be happy to hear this cheese ball is super easy to throw together too! Just mix everything all up and plop onto some plastic wrap and chill. Once it's chilled, it's very easy to shape it into a ball or any shape you like! (You can even leave it in a bowl and just use it a spread!) I really like the addition of walnuts, so I roll it in walnuts to finish and serve with multi-grain crackers.
