Рецепт Bacon Cheese Brown Sugar Pork Chops
Bacon Cheese Brown Sugar Pork ChopsThese sweet and garlicky pork chops are also rich with cheese and bacon flavors. Easy and quick too!
I got this great idea after my friend Maria posted the original recipe from Beyer Beware on her recipe group. I drooled all over the keyboard and knew I MUST make these--or something very similar.
My recipe eliminates the butter which is replaced by bacon because, well, bacon just improves about everything. Didn't much care for her choice of cheese, but I'm assuming she used what she had--something I am always in favor of doing, but I'm not a huge fan of Colby cheese; I prefer cheddar.
Sweet and garlickyOn the subject of cheeses, I would have used blue cheese here, but I didn't have any. So I mixed mozzarella and sharp cheddar. It blended wonderfully with the smoky and sweet flavor. Smoked gouda would be another great choice.
I didn't do a fancy wrap with the bacon either. I just laid it diagonally across each chop so I got maximum surface area covered, then tucked the ends under.
Try with fancier cheeses for a gourmet tasteI strongly suggest you line the pan with either parchment or foil because the sugar will burn and really adhere to the pan--and it will require either elbow grease to clean it or a good soak. Lining eliminates a nasty cleanup.
- Bacon Cheese Brown Sugar Pork Chops 4 boneless pork chops (about 3/4-1-inch thick)
- 4 slices bacon
- 4 cloves garlic, finely minced
- 2/3 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Spray a 13 x 9-inch baking pan with non-stick spray or line with parchment or foil.
In a small bowl, mix the brown sugar and the garlic. In another bowl, mix the cheeses. Set the cheeses aside.
Place pork chops in prepared pan, being careful to leave room between the chops.
Distribute the garlic/sugar mix evenly over the top of each pork chop. Lay a slice of bacon diagonally on top of each pork chop; tuck ends of bacon under each chop.
Bake at 400 degrees F for 35-40 minutes. Top with cheese and bake an additional 5-10 minutes to melt cheese.
