.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAnd%20there%20they%20are:%20tender,%20juicy%20ribs.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ETry%20this%20one%20soon,%20guys.%20We%E2%80%99re%20pretty%20sure%20you%E2%80%99ll%20be%20hooked.%20We%20are.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBacon%20Bourbon%20Oven%20Baked%20Ribs%20Recipe%20%20%20%20%20Cook%20time%20%203%20hours%205%20minutes%20%20%20Total%20time%20%203%20hours%2025%20minutes%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E2%20to%202-1/2%20pounds%20spare%20ribs%20or%20baby%20back%20pork%20ribs%20Salt%20and%20freshly%20ground%20black%20pepper%202%20to%204%20tablespoons%20spice%20rub,%20optional%20(use%20your%20favorite%20rub)%201/2%20to%201%20cup%20Bacon%20Bourbon%20Barbecue%20Sauce%20or%20your%20favorite%20store-bought%20or%20homemade%20sauce%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPrepare%20Ribs:%20Heat%20oven%20to%20275%C2%BA%20F%20and%20line%20a%20rimmed%20baking%20sheet%20with%20foil.%20Place%20the%20ribs%20meat%20side%20down%20on%20the%20work%20surface%20then%20locate%20the%20thin%20membrane%20that%20covers%20the%20rack.%20Since%20this%20membrane%20can%20become%20tough%20when%20cooked,%20we%20prefer%20to%20remove%20it.%20To%20remove%20it,%20use%20a%20butter%20knife%20and%20gently%20slide%20it%20under%20the%20membrane.%20Wiggle%20it%20from%20side%20to%20side%20until%20you%20can%20get%20your%20fingers%20under%20it.%20Then%20simply%20pull%20the%20membrane%20away%20from%20the%20ribs%20and%20discard.%20You%20might%20find%20that%20you%20need%20to%20use%20the%20knife%20to%20loosen%20the%20membrane%20a%20few%20times%20since%20we%20almost%20never%20get%20it%20all%20in%20one%20go.%20Trim%20excess%20fat%20then%20generously%20season%20both%20sides%20of%20the%20ribs%20with%20salt,%20pepper%20and/or%20your%20favorite%20spice%20rub.%20Note:%20Seasoning%20the%20ribs%20can%20be%20done%20in%20advance%20%E2%80%94%20a%20nice%20idea%20when%20using%20a%20spice%20rub%20%E2%80%94%20simply%20season%20the%20ribs%20then%20wrap%20in%20plastic%20wrap%20and%20refrigerate.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBake%20Ribs:%20Lay%20the%20ribs%20on%20the%20prepared%20baking%20sheet%20and%20cover%20with%20foil%20to%20prevent%20them%20from%20drying%20out%20during%20baking.%20Bake%20until%20fork%20tender,%202-1/2%20to%203%20hours.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBroil%20Ribs:%20Turn%20broiler%20to%20high%20then%20brush%20the%20ribs%20with%20barbecue%20sauce%20on%20both%20sides%20until%20well%20coated.%20Be%20careful%20when%20you%20turn%20them%20%E2%80%94%20the%20meat%20will%20be%20extremely%20tender.%20Broil%20the%20ribs%20just%20until%20the%20barbecue%20sauce%20begins%20to%20bubble%20and%20caramelize,%203%20to%205%20minutes.%20Let%20ribs%20rest%205%20to%2010%20minutes%20then%20cut%20into%20either%20single%20ribs%20or%20into%20sets%20of%203%20or%206%20ribs.%20Serve%20with%20leftover%20barbecue%20sauce%20on%20the%20side.%20%20%20If%20you%20have%20one,%20insert%20a%20baking%20rack%20into%20the%20baking%20sheet%20then%20place%20the%20ribs%20on%20top.%20This%20will%20allow%20heat%20to%20circulate%20around%20the%20ribs%20more%20evenly.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIf%20you%20do%20not%20have%20a%20rimmed%20baking%20sheet,%20use%20the%20largest%20baking%20dish%20you%20have%20%E2%80%94%20we%20have%20used%20our%2013x9-inch%20pyrex%20dish%20before.%20You%20may%20find%20that%20you%20need%20to%20cut%20the%20ribs%20in%20half%20to%20make%20them%20fit,%20but%20it%20still%20should%20produce%20excellent%20results.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E3.3.3077%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
