This is a simple and easy dish which can be prepared using baby potatoes.When I saw the mouthwatering pic of this dish on Raks kitchen I wanted to give it a try.This yummy dish goes great with rice.
Ingredients
Baby potatoes/urula kizhagu – 35
- Turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp
- Kashmiri chilly powder – 1 tbsp
- Coriander powder – 1 tsp
- Asafoetida(kaayam) – 1/4 tsp
- Roasted cumin powder(jeera powder) – 1/4 tsp
- Mustard seeds – 1/2 tsp
- curry leaves – 1 sprig
- salt
- Oil
Preparation
Pressure cook baby potatoes till soft.once it is cool,peel off the skin and keep aside.
Heat oil in a pan. Splutter mustard seeds and curry leaves.
On low flame,Add turmeric powder,red chilly powder,coriander powder and stir well.Don’t let it burn.
Add salt,cooked potatoes and 2tbsp of water.Mix well.
Add roasted cumin powder to it and roast well till golden brown.
Serve with rice.
