  • 1 c. Flour
  • 1/2 c. Butter softened
  • 2/3 c. Nuts minced
  • 1 c. Sugar

Инструкции

  1. Sift the flour and sugar together. Add in the minced nuts. Blend in the butter. Stir with a spoon till a soft dough is formed. Refrigeratefor 1-2 hrs.
  2. Roll the dough out on a floured board to 1/8" thickness. Cut into rounds with a biscuit cutter and place rounds on an ungreased cookie sheet.
  3. Bake at 375 (191C) for 7-10 minutes.
  4. Yields about 3 dozen.
  5. Can be made into a sandwich cookie. Traditional Austrian manner is to spread thinly with jam, cover with a second cookie, then cover top with chocolate frosting and a pecan or possibly walnut half.
  6. CHOCOLATE FROSTING 1 TB butter 1/3 c powdered sugar 1 egg yolk 1 sq unsweetened chocolate, -melted and cooled.
  7. Cream butter and sugar. Add in egg yolk and chocolate. Blend well.
