- Line a 3 Pound Christmas tin with 3 thicknesses of wax paper.
- Cream butter and sugar till fluffy.
- Beat Large eggs well and gradually add in to mix.
- Gradually add in the rum. Mix in the sifted flour, baking pwdr and spices alternately with the fruit.
- Place in Christmas tin and decorate with split almonds.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 2 1/2 to 3 hrs.
- Leave in tin till cool.
