  • 2 Yeast (1 Dry & 1 Wet)
  • 2 TBLS. Sugar
  • 2 Cups Flour
  • BOIL AND COOL 2 CUPS OF MILK (HOMOGENIZED)
  • 1/4 Cup Oil
  • 1/2 Lbs. Oleo
  • 2 1/2 Cups Sugar
  • 1 TBLS. Salt
  • 6 BEATEN EGGS
  • 4 TO 10 CUPS OF FLOUR
  • 1 BOX RAISINS WHITE OR DARK

  1. Combine 2 Yeast (1 Dry & 1 Wet) until double for 2-3 hours or overnight. Add 2 TBL Sugar and 2 Cups Flour (should look like Pancake batter.
  2. Boil and cool milk. Combine Oil, Oleo, Sugar and Salt.
  3. Add 6 beaten eggs.
  4. ADD FROM 4 TO 10 CUPS OF FLOUR (4 OR 5) SO THAT DOUGH IS NOT STICKY.
  5. WASH 1 BOX RAISINS WHITE OR DARK(OR HALF AND HALF) AND DRAIN
  6. AHEAD OF TIME AND ADD TO ABOVE INGREDIENTS. COVER AND LET RISE 1 OR 2 HOURS
  7. PUT IN WELL GREASED PANS AND COVER AND LET RISE AGAIN
  8. BRUSH A WHOLE EGG ON TOP OF BREAD BEFORE PLACING IN THE OVEN.
  9. BAKE:::275 DEGREE OVEN - 15 MIN.
  10. 325 DEGREE OVEN - 30 MIN.
  11. 300 DEGREE OVEN - 30 MIN. TOTAL BAKING TIME 1 TO 1 1/4 HRS.
