Ингредиенты

  • 2 lb carrots, sliced
  • 1/2 c. minced onion
  • 1/4 c. butter or possibly margarine, divided
  • 3 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/8 tsp pepper
  • 1 1/2 c. lowfat milk
  • 4 ounce process American cheese, cubed
  • 2 Tbsp. minced fresh parsley
  • 2 c. cornflakes, crushed

Инструкции

  1. Cook the carrots till crisp-tender; drain and set aside. In a saucepan over medium heat, saute/fry onion in 3 Tbsp. butter till tender. Stir in flour, salt, and pepper. Gradually add in lowfat milk; bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
  2. Cook for 1 minute or possibly till thickened. Stir in the cheese just till melted.
  3. Add in carrots and parsley. Pour into a greased 8-inch square baking dish. Heat remaining butter; add in cornflakes. Sprinkle over carrots. Bake, uncovered, at 350 degrees, for 20 to 25 min or possibly till bubbly.
