- Put mushrooms, water, vinegar, soy sauce and garlic into a saucepan with a tight-fitting lid; cover and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer about 15 min. Uncover and simmer till the liquid is reduced by half. Add in pepper and a splash of sesame oil. Toss with parsley. Serve with toothpicks.
