1 bag broccoli slaw (12 ounces) ½ red bell pepper, diced ⅓ cup sliced almonds DRESSING INGREDIENTS 1 clove garlic, minced 1 teaspoon miso 1 Tablespoon tamari ½ Tablespoon fresh ginger, minced ⅛ cup rice vinegar ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes

Combine the slaw ingredients in a large bowl. Set aside. Combine all the dressing ingredients in a blender and whirl until completely blended. Pour over the slaw Serve immediately 3.2.2807

We all need that go-to recipe that is quick and easy to make. Never mind all that fancy stuff you know you can make but don’t have the time or patience.

Quick means that It has to be delicious and satisfying. Since I have given up rice, grains, pasta and such, I need something that will fill me up with the least amount of fuss and low in the carb category.

This dish is all that, and more.

I made this perfect side dish and served it with my Mongolian Beef (look for this recipe in a couple of days.)

And you know what? I don’t like broccoli. I like cauliflower. I like broccoli slaw. I like broccoli raab, but not broccoli. They look like trees. It’s clearly a texture thing.

But hey, it’s all good because I love this slaw and the Asian flavors in the dressing.
