Apricot Filling For Fried Pies

Ингредиенты

  • 1 1/2 c. dry apricots, cut up
  • 1 1/2 c. water
  • 3/4 c. sugar

Инструкции

  1. Bring apricots and water to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for approximately 30 min. Be careful not to let mix scorch. Allow water to cook down. Add in sugar to apricots. Let apricot filling cold completely before filling pastry circle. Place several Tbsp. of cooled apricots in each pastry circle and mix in half. Seal edges with flour dipped fork. Heat 6 Tbsp. of oil in 10-inch heavy skillet.
  2. Fry till brown on each side (adding oil if necessary). Drain on paper towels. Allow to cold.
  3. Makes 10 pies.
