Ингредиенты

  • 400 gm apples, Granny Smith peeled, cored and sliced
  • 167/1000 c. sugar (caster)
  • 1/10 tsp cinnamon, grnd
  • 1/3 c. saltanas
  • 3/4 Tbsp. apricot jam
  • 60 gm butter
  • 1/2 c. fresh breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 Tbsp. almonds, flaked
  • 3 sht puff pastry

Инструкции

  1. Filling:Heat 20 gm butter in a frying pan and cook the apples to just soften them. Combine in a bowl with remaining filling ingredients and mix gently to ensure the apples do not break up.
  2. Puff pastry:Place a piece of puff on a greased baking tray and heap the filling down the center of the pastry leaving a 8 cm margin around the edges. Brush edges with beaten egg, lay over a second piece of pastry.
  3. Press edges together and roll each side up towards the filling, then press along join on each side with a fork to seal.
  4. Decorate top with strips of pastry in an overlapping fashion.
  5. Healthy pinch the ends together, brush top with egg and bake 180C/380F for 30 min.
