Ингредиенты

  • 1/4 c. Shortening
  • 1 c. Sugar
  • 1 x Egg
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1 tsp Nutmeg
  • 1 tsp Baking soda
  • 1 c. Flour
  • 2 Tbsp. Warm water
  • 1 tsp Vanilla
  • 1/2 c. Minced nuts
  • 2 1/2 c. Apples, pared and cubed
  • 1/2 c. Butter
  • 3/4 c. Brown sugar
  • 1/4 c. Cream
  • 1/2 tsp Rum-flavored extract Or possibly, 1-2 Tablespoons rum

Инструкции

  1. Cake - Cream together shortening and sugar. Add in remaining cake ingredients through apples in order listed. Mix well. Pour into greased, 9-inch round cake pan or possibly pie plate. Bake at 350 degrees for 45-60 min.
  2. Rum Sauce - Heat butter. Add in brown sugar and boil 1 minute. Add in cream and boil a few more seconds. Remove from heat and stir in rum extract or possibly rum.
  3. Serve cake with hot rum sauce.
