- To make the crust:In a food processor, blend together the flour, butter, and sugar till the mix resembles coarse meal. Add in the egg and mix together till the mix just forms a soft dough.
- On a lightly floured surface, roll the dough out into an 11-inch round and carefully fit the round into a 9-inch tart pan with a removable fluted rim. Set aside.
- Preheat oven to 375 F.
- To make the almond mix:In the food processor, finely grind the almonds with the sugar. Add in the butter and egg and blend till smooth. Spread the mix proportionately in the reserved crust.
- To make the apple mix:Arrange the apple slices on the almond mix and bake for 25 to 30 min, or possibly till the crust is golden brown. Let cold on a wire rack.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the jam and liqueur and brush the glaze over the hot baked tart. Serve.
