.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20picked%20zucchini,%20green%20beans,%20dug%20new%20potatoes,%20and%20harvested%20various%20herbs%20from%20the%20garden.%20%20I%20canned%20my%20first%208%20pints%20of%20green%20beans%20this%20week%20too!%20%20Husband%20brought%20in%20the%20first%20few%20ripe%20peaches%20from%20the%20tree,%20so%20I'll%20be%20freezing%20and%20drying%20peaches%20soon.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWe%20didn't%20plant%20potatoes%20this%20year%20-%20these%20are%20volunteers%20that%20sprouted%20from%20ones%20we%20missed%20last%20year.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20re-arranged%20some%20furniture%20to%20make%20Daughter's%20room%20more%20spacious.%20%20She%20had%20a%20full%20size%20bed,%20but%20now%20she%20has%20a%20twin.%20%20It's%20a%20trundle,%20sort%20of.%20%20The%20bedframe%20(which%20I%20got%20a%20couple%20weeks%20ago,%20used,%20for%20$10,%20though%20it%20looks%20brand%20new)%20is%20structured%20in%20such%20a%20way%20that%20I%20can%20slide%20a%20second%20twin%20mattress%20(which%20I%20got%20free)%20in%20and%20out%20beneath%20it.%20%20This%20keeps%20Daughter%20from%20sticking%20junk%20under%20her%20bed%20and%20gives%20us%20some%20additional%20sleep%20space%20if%20we%20need%20it.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EShhh...she's%20reading....about%20Lego%20Star%20Wars...as%20usual...%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWe%20read%20library%20books%20and%20watched%20DVD's%20from%20the%20library.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20planned%20a%20menu,%20which%20helped%20me%20remember%20to%20use%20what%20we%20have%20on%20hand.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20bought%20some%20cubed%20pork%20and%20some%20ground%20pork%20on%20markdown,%20and%20put%20them%20directly%20into%20the%20freezer.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIn%20the%20interest%20of%20research,%20I%20had%20to%20try%20the%20frozen%20hot%20chocolate%20recipe%20that%20Momma%20Lana%20suggested.%20%20We%20used%20chocolate%20chips%20from%20the%20pantry%20(Nestle'%20semi%20sweet%20minis,%20bought%20on%20sale%20and%20with%20a%20coupon%20back%20at%20Easter),%20a%20little%20hot%20cocoa%20mix%20from%20a%20packet%20I%20received%20last%20Christmas,%20a%20little%20sugar,%20a%20cup%20and%20a%20half%20of%20milk%20and%20ice.%20%20It%20was%20really%20good,%20and%20the%20recipe%20makes%204%20cups,%20so%20it's%20enough%20for%202-3%20people.%20%20So%20even%20though%20the%20recipe%20says%20'the%20best%20chocolate%20you%20can%20find',%20rest%20assured%20that%20if%20that's%20some%20chocolate%20chips%20or%20something,%20you're%20still%20going%20to%20be%20just%20fine.%20:)%20%20Thank%20you,%20Momma%20Lana!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EOn%20town%20day,%20Daughter%20and%20I%20stopped%20at%20Panera%20-%20I%20had%20two%20free%20pastries%20on%20my%20card,%20so%20that%20was%20our%20mother-daughter%20brunch.%20:)%20%20We%20combined%20that%20with%20our%20town%20errands%20for%20the%20week.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20made%20deviled%20eggs,%20beef%20broccoli,%20cake%20noodles,%20enchiladas,%20carrot%20and%20celery%20sticks,%20Szechuan%20green%20beans,%20hamburgers,%20cole%20slaw,%20corn%20bread,%20parslied%20new%20potatoes,%20zucchini,%20panfried%20trout%20and%20nachos%20this%20week.%20%20We%20also%20ate%20salads,%20lots%20of%20fresh%20watermelon%20and%20other%20fresh%20fruits%20and%20veggies.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThis%20week's%20catch.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20love%20that%20they%20have%20a%20cleaning%20station%20at%20the%20lake%20-%20it's%20so%20nice%20to%20get%20most%20of%20it%20taken%20care%20of%20there!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E(Then%20we%20put%20them%20on%20ice.)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20gathered%20up%20excess%20stuff%20to%20list/sell%20on%20craigslist.%20%20Now,%20who%20needs%20a%20rice%20cooker%20or%20an%20American%20Girl%20Doll?%20%20Or%20both?%20%20%20UPDATE%20-%20Josefina%20has%20found%20a%20new%20home.%20%20:)Josefina,%20in%20one%20of%20the%20adorable%20dresses%20that%20Grandma%20made%20for%20her.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20purchased%20a%20small%20appliance%20that%20works%20as%20a%20griddle,%20sandwich%20maker,%20Panini%20maker%20and%20grill.%20%20It's%20the%20type%20where%20the%20plates%20are%20interchangeable,%20plus%20you%20can%20take%20them%20off%20to%20wash%20them%20(yay!)%20%20The%20lady%20I%20got%20it%20from%20had%20used%20it%20once...and%20it's%20something%20we've%20been%20wanting%20to%20try%20for%20a%20long%20time.%20%20It%20was%20$15,%20and%20I%20used%20summer%20sales%20fund%20money%20to%20pay%20for%20part%20of%20it.%20%20As%20soon%20as%20I%20sell%20a%20few%20more%20items,%20I%20will%20repay%20the%20house%20fund.%20%20At%20last,%20I%20can%20make%20more%20than%20one%20pancake%20at%20a%20time!%20%20And%20since%20this%20will%20replace%20our%20wee,%20tiny%20Foreman%20grill,%20I%20can%20make%20more%20than%20one%20hamburger,%20too!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWe%20opened%20windows%20at%20night%20to%20cool%20the%20house.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWe%20got%20our%20teeth%20cleaned.%20%20We%20have%20dental%20insurance,%20and%20if%20we're%20going%20to%20pay%20for%20it,%20we%20need%20to%20actually%20use%20those%20'free'%20cleanings.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20hung%20our%20laundry%20on%20drying%20racks%20in%20the%20basement,%20except%20for%20sheets%20and%20quilts,%20which%20I%20hung%20on%20the%20clothesl
