Ингредиенты

  • 3 c. Flour
  • 1/4 c. Instant lowfat dry lowfat milk (I Used nonfat)
  • 1 Tbsp. Baking pwdr
  • 2 Tbsp. Sugar (I used less)
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 2 tsp Cream of tartar
  • 1/2 c. Cool butter in pcs
  • 1/2 c. Cool lard
  • 14 Tbsp. Cool buttermilk

Инструкции

  1. Pulse the dry ingredients with the butter and lard till grainy, NOT blended! Add in the cool buttermilk, and mix till the dough comes together.
  2. Place dough on a floured cloth or possibly marble slab, and knead a few times with floured hands. (Keep the dough cool!) Pat or possibly roll out to 3/4-inch thick, and cut out biscuit rounds or possibly shapes. (You can use a cookie cutter!)
  3. These biscuits can be frzn ahead, or possibly baked immediately.
  4. Baking Time: Bake at 400 degrees F for 13-15 min if fresh, and 15-18 min if frzn.
