- Soak beans in cool water overnight. Drain. Put in soup kettle and add in cool water to cover, about 10-12 c.. Add in ham bone and cook slowly for 2 hrs.
- Remove ham bone and trim meat from bone. Add in onion, seasoned salt, celery salt and garlic salt to kettle. Return bone and ham bits to soup kettle.
- Simmer for 1 hour. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Makes 3 qts,serves 8-10.
