1¼ cups old-fashioned oats ⅔ cup Endangered Species Almond Spread with Cocoa ½ cup coconut flakes ¼ cup honey ½ cup Mixed nuts (I used macadamia, almonds and cashews) 3 Tablespoons ground flax seeds 1 teaspoon vanilla bean paste ½ teaspoon sea salt
Combine all ingredients together in a food processor and pulse until combined. Cover mixture and transfer to the refrigerator, and let cool for about 30-60 minutes. (This will slightly harden the mixture and make it easier to form into balls.) When mixture is cool, remove and roll into balls of your desired size. Enjoy immediately, or refrigerate in a covered container. 3.5.3208

Looking for the perfect bite of energy pre or post workout? Then you have come to the right place.
After my 20 pound weight loss challenge ended I had a plan to do home work outs. I knew that I would want a quick bite of homemade energy to eat before I workout, When I received a package of Endangered Species chocolate nut spreads to try out and it couldn’t have arrived at a better time. Pop one or two 15 minutes before your workout. My homemade bites are low in calories, fat, carbs, and sugar.
These, my friends, are the very first thing a made after my challenge ended. The challenge is over, but the workouts are not. I learned that carbs should be consumed after a workout but a little bit of energy before a workout is fine. Take one of these bites 15 minutes before you workout for that extra boost needed.
These bites feature some of that delicious almond cocoa spread that we all love. But they are packed with whole ingredients like honey, oats, coconut, nuts, and flax-seed. They can literally be whipped up with your food processor in minutes!
