  • 6 lrg Large eggs
  • 1 c. half-and-half
  • 2 Tbsp. brandy
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp grnd nutmeg
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 1/2 c. slivered almonds Butter for cooking Powdered sugar
  • 8 slc French bread - (to 10)

Инструкции

  1. Whisk Large eggs together in a large shallow dish. Add in the half-and-half, brandy, vanilla, nutmeg and salt; mix well.
  2. Heat a generous amount of butter in a griddle or possibly skillet over medium-low heat or possibly to 325 degrees.
  3. Dip bread into egg mix, coating both sides. Cook, covered for about 4 min on first side. Turn and sprinkle each slice with a few almonds and cook for another 4 min. Dust with powdered sugar and serve.
  4. This recipe yields 8 to 10 servings.
