Рецепт Adobo Sauce Glazed Chicken Wings
There are lots of chicken wings recipe out there and the most popular ones are these buffalo wings, honey soy chicken wings and barbecue chicken wings but is there any wings that can be associated with the Filipino cuisine? Well there is none but we can create one. There are a lot of different flavours in our cuisine and I guess the best match for chicken at the same time be as Filipino as it can is the Adobo flavour.
Adobo is my home country’s national dish, the soy sauce – vinegar – sugar – garlic is the flavour profile that the Filipinos everywhere crave for. We enjoy this flavour with the dish itself paired with freshly steamed rice, some enjoy this flavour in fried rice, some have it with noodles and others love it in their bread but has someone applied this tasty sauce with their chicken wings? Well I might not be the first but in case you haven’t encountered this somewhere then here is a recipe for you. Great to serve as an appetizer, beer match or a game day snack.
Adobo Sauce Glazed Chicken Wings
- 1 kg chicken wings 1 whole garlic, minced ¼ cup cane vinegar
- ¼ cup Philippine Soy Sauce
- ½ cup water 1 tbsp brown sugar oil 2 pcs bay leaves freshly ground black pepper water
In a large wok sauté garlic in oil using low heat until golden brown. Add chicken wings and fry until light brown in colour. Add water, vinegar, soy sauce, bay leaves and brown sugar then bring to a boil and simmer in medium-high heat while occasionally stirring for 15 minutes or until liquid dries out. Continue to cook in medium heat browning the sides adding a bit of oil if needed, season with freshly ground black pepper then remove from wok. Serve while hot. 3.5.3208
