In case you missed it, last week, Apple announced the new iPhones this week. Now…I know a lot of people have a lot of feelings about Apple products. Even though my husband and I have had iPhones (and subsequent iPads) for a few years, I was very resistant to getting a Mac, largely because of the fire-eyed Mac evangelists. My conversion to a Macbook is another story, but when I told my husband I wanted a Mac, I felt like I was telling him I was changing my religion or something. He’s still firmly in the PC camp and our kids have a Kindle Fire, so we are by no means Apple exclusive.

%20for%20a%20few%20years,%20I%20was%20very%20resistant%20to%20getting%20a%20Mac,%20largely%20because%20of%20the%20fire-eyed%20Mac%20evangelists.%20My%20conversion%20to%20a%20Macbook%20is%20another%20story,%20but%20when%20I%20told%20my%20husband%20I%20wanted%20a%20Mac,%20I%20felt%20like%20I%20was%20telling%20him%20I%20was%20changing%20my%20religion%20or%20something.%20He%E2%80%99s%20still%20firmly%20in%20the%20PC%20camp%20and%20our%20kids%20have%20a%20Kindle%20Fire,%20so%20we%20are%20by%20no%20means%20Apple%20exclusive.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBut.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20have%20an%20iPhone,%20I%E2%80%99ve%20had%20one%20for%20a%20long%20time,%20it%20works%20for%20me.%20So%20I%20thought%20I%E2%80%99d%20share%20some%20of%20my%20favorite%20apps,%20most%20of%20which%20are%20also%20available%20on%20other%20platforms.%20These%20aren%E2%80%99t%20sponsored%20in%20any%20way,%20just%20things%20I%20find%20myself%20using%20again%20and%20again!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EFITNESS%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20love%20and%20use%20the%20My%20Fitness%20Pal%20app%20pretty%20much%20daily%E2%80%93I%20find%20it%20much%20more%20useful%20and%20intuitive%20than%20many%20of%20the%20paid%20weight%20loss%20apps,%20including%20Weight%20Watchers.%20But%20a%20lot%20of%20people%20already%20know%20and%20use%20it.%20So%E2%80%A6my%20pick%20for%20a%20fitness%20app%20is%205K%20Runner%20(when%20you%20go%20to%20iTunes,%20search%20for%20the%20free%20version%E2%80%93I%20can%E2%80%99t%20link%20to%20it).%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThere%20are%20a%20lot%20of%20Couch-to-5K%20apps%20and%20there%20are%20a%20lot%20of%20fitness%20apps,%20but%20I%20love%20this%20one%20because%20even%20though%20it%E2%80%99s%20free,%20it%20doesn%E2%80%99t%20operate%20like%20a%20free%20app.%20The%20interface%20is%20attractive%20and%20user-friendly.%20It%E2%80%99s%20easy%20to%20listen%20to%20your%20own%20music,%20the%20directions%20are%20easy%20to%20follow,%20and%20it%E2%80%99s%20top-notch%20in%20every%20way.%20If%20you%E2%80%99re%20looking%20for%20a%20free%20way%20to%20help%20you%20get%20fit,%20this%20is%20one%20of%20my%20favorites!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EENTERTAINMENT%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20remember%20when%20I%20was%20pregnant%20with%20my%20oldest%20in%202004,%20my%20husband%20and%20I%20went%20to%20Wendy%E2%80%99s%20late%20one%20night%20for%20a%20Frosty%20run%20(yeah)%20and%20we%20heard%20a%20catchy%20song%20on%20the%20radio.%20I%20caught%20a%20memorable%20line%20or%20two%20of%20the%20song%20and%20spent%20the%20next%20few%20days,%20unsuccessfully,%20trying%20to%20figure%20out%20what%20the%20song%20was.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWell.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIt%E2%80%99s%20not%202004%20anymore.%20The%20Music%20ID%20app%20listens%20to%20a%20snippet%20of%20a%20song,%20identifies%20it%20(sometimes%20it%20takes%202%20or%20three%20tries),%20then%20identifies%20it.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESometimes%20I%20have%20it%20identify%20a%20song%20I%20know%20and%20like%20but%20don%E2%80%99t%20own%20because%20it%20makes%20a%20list%20of%20songs%20it%E2%80%99s%20identified,%20so%20then%20I%20can%20either%20go%20back%20and%20find%20them%20or%20I%20can%20even%20click%20on%20the%20song%20and%20it%20will%20take%20me%20straight%20to%20iTunes%20where%20I%20can%20buy%20it.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EGAMES%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20don%E2%80%99t%20play%20a%20ton%20of%20games,%20but%20I%20love%20puzzle%20games,%20especially%20ones%20where%20I%20don%E2%80%99t%20have%20to%20commit%20to%20a%20huge%20chunk%20of%20time%20all%20at%20once.%20Two%20Dots%20is%20hands-down%20my%20favorite%20little%20time-killer.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe%20graphics%20and%20music%20are%20darling,%20the%20concept%20is%20simple%20(but%20it%20can%20get%20insanely%20difficult),%20and%20you%E2%80%99re%20limited%20to%205%20lives%20at%20a%20time%20(it%20takes%2020%20minutes%20for%20them%20to%20regenerate),%20so%20you%E2%80%99re%20not%20sucked%20into%20a%20puzzle%20all%20day.%20Admittedly,%20some%20levels%20rely%20heavily%20on%20luck%20and%20are%20almost%20impossible%20to%20pass%20without%20the%20annoying%20in-app%20purchases,%20but%20it%20is%20do-able.%20This%20got%20me%20through%20long%20stretches%20of%20road%20in%20West%20Texas%20and%20New%20Mexico%20when%20we%20drove%20out%20to%20Utah%20this%20last%20summer.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPHOTOGRAPHY%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EFor%20adding%20text%20and%20effects,%20we%20love%20Rhonna%20Designs.%20I%20swear,%20it%E2%80%99s%20the%20gold%20standard%20of%20photo%20effect%20apps.%20It%E2%80%99s%20very%20intuitive%20and%20easy%20to%20use,%20effects%20are%20super%20easy%20to%20create,%20and%20there%20are%20even%20tutorials%20to%20help%20you%20use%20it%20to%20its%20fullest.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ERhonna%20also%20recently%20released%20a%20new%20photo%20editing%20app,%20Rhonna%20Designs%20Magic,%20which%20we%20love!%20You%20can%20adjust%20color%20temperature,%20exposure,%20add%20bokeh%20and%20light%20leaks%20(non-cheesy%20ones!)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20have%20lots%20more%20I%20love,%20these%20are%20just%20the%20ones%20I%20find%20myself%20using%20all%20the%20time%20that%20you%20might%20not%20already%20know%20about.%20So%20share%E2%80%A6what%20apps%20help%20keep%20you
