%20and%20fresh%20falafel,%20grabbing%20some%20of%20the%20(delicious)%20spinach%20salad%20with%20some%20grilled%20chicken%20was%20just%20not%20an%20option.%20So%20I%20tried%20to%20obey%20the%20good%20old%20rule%20of%20moderation.%20In%20theory,%20this%20rule%20works....in%20practice,%20well.....it%20doesn't%20count%20if%20no%20one%20sees%20it,%20right?%20So%20even%20though%20my%20friends%20were%20eating%20plates%20full%20of%20ribs,%20I%20stayed%20focused%20and%20enjoyed%20more%20than%20one%20taste%20of%20all%20my%20favorites.%20%20But%20now%20its%20back%20to%20the%20work%20week%20and%20even%20though%20we%20didn't%20get%20to%20the%20grocery%20store%20doesn't%20mean%20I%20have%20an%20excuse%20to%20order%20takeout!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThis%20soup%20is%20made%20with%20some%20vegetables%20that%20were%20still%20hanging%20around%20in%20the%20fridge%20and%20few%20pantry%20staples%20that%20I%20try%20to%20keep%20stocked....just%20in%20case!%20I%20took%20the%20cue%20for%20this%20soup%20from%20a%20childhood%20favorite,%20pasta%20fagioli%20-%20while%20my%20mother%20always%20made%20this%20more%20as%20a%20pasta%20dish%20my%20grandmother's%20was%20definitely%20a%20soup.%20I%20love%20soups%20so%20it%20was%20easy%20for%20me%20to%20twist%20that%20recipe%20into%20this%20creation.%20This%20dish%20is%20easily%20made%20vegetarian%20by%20increasing%20the%20beans%20and%20taking%20out%20the%20chicken%20sausage.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E4)%20Bring%20to%20a%20simmer%20and%20season%20to%20taste%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
