Butter that paper!

Forget the aerosol cooking spray and, instead, run a couple of T of cool butter up and down any wax paper you are using to drop candy on - no particulate to breath in, the kitchen stays a bit cleaner, the candy will come off the wax paper easier and, most importly, who would rather eat wax then butter???
