Hey You Guys!

Hi, I'm considering starting the Cypress college culinary program in the spring, and I was wondering what you guys thought of it? Is it worth the time? Thanks.

Thanks a bunch. This may sound like a completely stupid question, but for someone who is living paycheck to paycheck (read: poor) it's pertinent. The materials fees cover the cost of ingredients, correct? Also, how does the teaching system work, do they lecture for 2 hours and then everybody grabs a station and basically repeats the lesson? Or do they cycle, i.e. your on dish duty one day, cooking the next etc.? I'm very excited, but terribly nervous. I hoping to take intro to culinary careers, nutrition, sanitation and safety and basic cooking techniques this semester, does that sound decent? And do you think basic cooking techniques will fill up fast?
