I am pastry chef, bread maker, writer and photographer. It should be noted that I am these things only in my imagination. In reality I’m a lawyer, but really, you were much more interested before, weren’t you? When I was little, I dreamt of having a cottage where I could bake pies all day and then put them on the windowsill to cool. I still hope that dream will come true. I prefer baking, as it appeals to my Type A personality because it requires exact measurements and timing so that things don’t fall apart. Cooking, with all of its possible variations, makes me a little nervous. I am working on my control issues and will keep you updated.
Pestle Mortar was created as a place to tell stories that involve food–the preparation, the mistakes, the sweetbabybuddha-this-actually-tastes-good! times, and, of course, those moments that have nothing to do with a recipe, but everything to do with the people around the table.
