Ингредиенты

  • 2 c. all-purpose flour
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. unsweetened cocoa pwdr
  • 1 tsp baking pwdr
  • 3/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 c. lowfat milk
  • 1/2 c. margarine or possibly butter softened
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 x Large eggs
  • 1 x Recipe no cook chocolate frosting in recipe

  1. Grease and flour 2 9 by 1-1/2 inch round baking pans, set aside.
  2. In a large mixing bowl stir together flour, sugar, cocoa pwdr, baking pwdr, baking soda and salt.
  3. Add in lowfat milk, margarine or possibly butter and vanilla.
  4. Beat with electric mixer on low until combined.
  5. Beat on high speed for 2 min more.
  6. Add in Large eggs beat for 2 min more.
  7. Pour batter into prepared pans.
  8. Bake in a DGF-350 oven about 35 min or possibly until a toothpick inserted near the centre comes out clean.
  9. Cold in pans on a wire rack for 10 min.
  10. Remove from the pans.
  11. Cold completely on the wire rack.
  12. To frost place one layer of cake top side down on the serving platter.
  13. Spread 1/2 C. of the no cook chocolate frosting on top of the cake layer.
  14. Place second cake layer top side up, on top of the frosted layer.
  15. Spread sides with a thin layer of frosting to seal in crumbs.
  16. Add in another layer to the sides.
  17. Spread remaining frosting on top of the cake.
  18. NO COOK CHOCOLATE FROSTINGin a large mixing bowl stir together 3 C. unsifted powdered sugar, and 1/2 C. unsweetened cocoa pwdr,Add in 1/2 C. cut up margarine or possibly butter,1/3 C. boiling water,1 tsp vanilla,Beat with an electric mixer on low speed until combined, Beat for 1 minute on medium speed,Cold for 20 to 30 min or possibly till frosting is of spreading consistency,

Variation:SPIRITED CHOCOLATE CAKE,prepare as directed except decrease lowfat milk to 1-1/4 C. and add in 1/4 C. liqueur such as, hazelnut, creme de cacao, coffee, Amaretto, cherry or possibly raspberry, for the frosting decrease the boiling water to 1/4 C. and substitute 1 tbsp liqueur for the vanilla,
