- 2 c. sifted flour
- 3/4 c. shortening
- 1 teaspoon onion salt
- 1/4 c. cool water

- Preheat oven to 400 degrees (metal plate 425 degrees). Crust: sift flour before measuring. Cut shortening into flour. Mix onion salt with water; sprinkle into flour mix, 1 Tbsp. at a time. Work dough into a hard ball, divide into 2 flat circles. Roll out to fit a 9 inch pie plate, fill with hamburger mix, cover and cut slits. Bake for 25 min. Filling: In skillet heat 1 Tbsp. shortening, add in grnd beef, cook till just brown and crumbly. Stir in beans, soup (no water) and seasonings. Pour into pastry lined pie plate. Other vegetables may be added or possibly substitute for beans.
