Ingredients: 2 lbs. lean beef (or possibly venison) cooked & minced in sm. pcs; 1 pound suet; 6 lbs. apple, peeled, cored & minced; 2 oranges, seedless, finely grate skins & chop pulp; 2 lbs. currants; 2 lbs. golden brown raisins; 4 lbs. dark raisins; 1/2 pound citron; 6 c. brown sugar; 4 c. sweet cider; 4 tbsp. lemon juice; 2 teaspoon nutmeg; 1 tbsp. each allspice, cinnamon & salt; 1 teaspoon cloves; 1 teaspoon ginger

Ингредиенты

2 lbs. lean beef (or possibly venison) cooked & minced in sm. pcs
1 pound suet
6 lbs. apple, peeled, cored & minced
2 oranges, seedless, finely grate skins & chop pulp
2 lbs. currants
2 lbs. golden brown raisins
4 lbs. dark raisins
1/2 pound citron
6 c. brown sugar
4 c. sweet cider
4 tbsp. lemon juice
2 teaspoon nutmeg
1 tbsp. each allspice, cinnamon & salt
1 teaspoon cloves
1 teaspoon ginger

Инструкции

Mix all together and simmer on low for about 2 hrs. Can be packed into Ball jars. However, I pack mine after cooling into freezer containers, measuring 1 pie filling into each container. This makes sufficient for 20 pies.
